WINTER STORAGE

Rowayton Yacht Club offers seasonal winter storage for owners and current renters or the general public.

Please review this page carefully before you submit your winter storage form.  We also have a calculator at the bottom of this page to help you determine your winter storage fees.

How to Register for Winter Storage:

To register for Winter Storage, please complete the three steps below.

STEP 1:  Obtain your Certificate of Insurance (required)

Any boat owner with a vessel on RYC property must provide a current Certificate of Insurance (COI).  This is a document issued directly by your boat's insurance provider.  Contact your insurance agent or carrier and request a COI.

When requesting your COI, please ask them to:

      • Add "Rowayton Yacht Club at Hickory Bluff" as the Certificate Holder.
      • Send you a PDF copy of the COI for each vessel you will be mooring or storing at RYC.
      • Ensure the PDF is saved to your computer, so it is ready to upload during Step 2.

STEP 2:  Sign our Updated Marine Services Guidelines document and upload COI (required)

We have updated the terms of our Marine Services Guidelines.  Owners, Renters and the General Public who use RYC Marine services, such as winter storage or our mooring field, must review and acknowledge the updated document.  You will also be asked to upload your COI document(s).  Ensure each boat stored or moored at RYC is listed in your COI(s). You will be allowed to upload multiple COI(s).

Please click this link to submit your acknowledgment of the revised Marine Services Guideline.  (RYC owners or current-year seasonal renters should log into their account before completing the form.)

STEP 3:  Register for Winter Storage

Only submit your winter storage request after you have completed steps 1 and 2.  If we do not have these steps completed then your boat will not be moored or stored until these are completed.  This year's RYC haul-out dates and fees are provided in the sections below.  Please review these prior to registering for Winter Storage.

2026 FALL HAUL-OUT / SPRING LAUNCH

This year’s fall haul‑out and spring launch dates are shown in the table below.

Because the RYC yard operates on a last‑in, first‑out (LIFO) basis, boats hauled out earlier in the fall are placed deeper in the yard and will launch later in the spring. Boats hauled out later in the fall are positioned closer to the front and will launch earlier.
